Real Madrid to rival West Ham United for FC Krasnodar striker Fyodor Smolov?
Real Madrid have reportedly identified FC Krasnodar striker Fyodor Smolov as a potential target for the January transfer window.
With Real currently off the pace in La Liga, boss Zinedine Zidane has allegedly been given the green light to make two new signings at the start of 2018.
Finding backup for Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema is said to be a priority for Zidane and according to the Daily Mail, Real are considering a move for Smolov.
Last week, it was claimed that West Ham United were keen on adding the Russian forward to their ranks, with the player looking to secure a move to London.
However, any interest from Real could potentially lead to Smolov – who has scored 10 goals from 13 domestic games this season – switching his attention to Spain.
Last month, Smolov netted twice as Russia secured a 3-3 draw with Spain in a friendly international.
