Arsenal in talks with Jean Michael Seri agent
Arsenal have reportedly decided to up their efforts to sign Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
Since helping the French club into the Champions League playoff rounds last year, Seri has been strongly linked with a move to a top European club during the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona are allegedly among the teams keen on the Ivory Coast international but it appears that Arsenal have attempted to move to the front of the queue.
According to Sky Sports News, director of football Raul Sanllehi has been in contact with the player’s representatives ahead of a potential offer in the coming months.
The Gunners will allegedly hold back from making a bid until the appointment of a new manager but behind the scenes, there is a desire to push through a deal for the 26-year-old.
Seri – who has just over a year remaining on his contract – has contributed two goals and five assists in Ligue 1 this season.
