Newcastle ‘plotting bid for Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore’

Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a summer swoop for Middlesbrough midfielder Adama Traore.

The Magpies are willing to meet Boro’s £15m valuation of the winger, according to the Yorkshire Post.

Traore was one of the stars of Middlesbrough’s 2017-18 Championship campaign, which ended with a playoff semi-final defeat to Aston Villa.

The report suggests that the Spaniard could seek a move away from Boro following their failure to reach the Premier League and may be open to a move to Newcastle.

Traore has made more than 60 appearances for the second-tier outfit since joining them from Aston Villa in 2016.
