Manchester United set to extend Andreas Pereira’s contract?

Manchester United are reportedly set to trigger the contract extension of midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The Brazilian international has started two of United’s Premier League fixtures this season after returning from a season-long loan at Valencia.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho heaped praise on the player after his side’s 2-1 win over Leicester City on the opening weekend, but Pereira was also part of the starting XI which lost 3-2 to Brighton & Hove Albion the following Sunday.

According to The Sun, United will extend the player’s current deal, which expires next summer, by a further 12 months.

Pereira joined the club in 2011 and has made seven appearances in the top flight.
