Barcelona keeping tabs on Girona forward Cristhian Stuani?
Barcelona are reportedly giving serious thought to activating the release clause of Girona forward Cristhian Stuani.
The Catalan giants have just won a second successive La Liga title, but a significant number of arrivals and departures are expected during the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are short of players who can play down the middle of their attack, and Marca claims that an approach could be made for former Middlesbrough man Stuani.
The 32-year-old has enjoyed two excellent campaigns at Girona, although the Uruguay international’s 19 goals from 32 outings were unable to prevent the club from relegation to the second tier.
Stuani now has a €10m (£8.8m) release clause in his deal, which may appeal to Barcelona due to their desire to focus on other areas of the pitch.
