Arsenal eye swoop for Chile midfielder Erick Pulgar?
Arsenal are reportedly interested in a summer deal for Bologna midfielder Erick Pulgar.
The 25-year-old has been an ever present for Chile during the 2019 Copa America, helping the defending champions reach the semi-finals with a string of impressive performances.
The defensive midfielder plays his club football for Bologna following a 2015 switch from Chilean side Universidad Catolica.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal have been made aware that Pulgar has a £10.8m release clause in his current contract, which has led the Premier League club to consider an approach.
That said, the same report claims that AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma and Sevilla are also all interested in signing Pulgar during this summer’s transfer window.
The Gunners are said to be looking at a number of cut-price deals this summer with head coach Unai Emery only having a budget of around £45m to work with ahead of the new season.
