Arsenal to make fresh bid for Daniele Rugani?
Arsenal will reportedly launch a fresh bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani after the club’s opening bid for the defender was rejected.
Unai Emery is on the lookout for reinforcements at defence this summer after captain Laurent Koscielny made it clear that he wanted to leave the Emirates this summer.
The Gunners reportedly approached Juventus about the prospect of signing Rugani on a two-year loan, with the option to make the move permanent, but this was turned down by the Serie A champions.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal have a ‘strong interest’ in Rugani and will return with an improved offer before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is in London tomorrow to finalise Joao Cancelo’s move to Manchester City, and will also speak with Arsenal about a deal for the 28-year-old defender.
Arsenal also remain in pursuit of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney after having two separate bids rejected for the Scotland international.
