Report – Inter Milan still interested in Luka Modric
Inter Milan have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Luka Modric from Real Madrid and could make a formal approach in the summer.
The Croatia international, who is into his eighth season at Madrid, came close to joining Inter Milan last summer.
Los Blancos were reluctant to sell at the time, but Spanish publication Sport suggests that their stance may change in six months’ time.
The veteran midfielder’s current contract with Madrid runs up until June 2021, potentially forcing the club’s hand somewhat.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is expected to bolster his midfield ranks ahead of 2020-21, with Ajax’s Donny van de Beek, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen supposedly high on his wishlist.
Modric, 34, has also been linked with a move to MLS outfit DC United.
