Report – Arsenal pondering bid for Daley Blind
Arsenal have reportedly identified Ajax centre-back Daley Blind as a potential summer signing.
After a mixed spell at Man United, the 29-year-old defender has enjoyed an impressive 19 months back at Ajax, helping the Eredivisie giants reach last season’s Champions League semi-finals.
According to The Athletic, the performance of Blind has resulted in interest from the Premier League giants Arsenal.
The report adds that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is an admirer of the Dutchman’s versatility – which would help the Gunners in defence and midfield.
The Netherlands international allegedly possesses a small release clause in his Ajax contract.
Arsenal are unlikely to be the only club to attempt to sign Ajax’s defender should he be open to leaving the Dutch outfit.
