Report – Liverpool launch £58m bid for Kalidou Koulibaly

Liverpool have submitted a £58m offer for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, according to Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by The Daily Mail.

The Reds looked to steal a march on their Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign the 29-year-old defender.

The report adds, Napoli are on the verge of losing their star player this summer, Liverpool’s offer falls £32m short of their valuation.

The Italian giants are looking for a transfer fee around £90million for the Senegal international given that he’s regarded as one of the best defenders over the past few seasons.

Koulibaly racked up 235 appearances for Napoli since his move from Genk in 2014 and has won the Coppa Italia during his time with Partenopei.
