Leeds United close to landing Sam Greenwood from Arsenal
Leeds United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Arsenal wonderkid Sam Greenwood.
The Whites have already secured a number of teenagers since promoting to the Premier League, sealing deals for Charlie Allen from Linfield, Joe Gelhardt from Wigan Athletic and Cody Drameh from Fulham.
The Athletic reports that Arsenal’s Sam Greenwood is the next target on Leeds’ wishlist and that a deal could be completed in the coming days.
The 18-year-old forward has previously been linked with the Serie A champions Juventus.
The highly-rated academy prospect would initially be expected to join up with Leeds’ Under-23 team rather than fighting for a place in the first team.
