Man United, Liverpool keen on signing Diego Carlos?
Manchester United and Liverpool could reportedly slug it out over the summer for the signature of Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.
The 27-year-old has impressed with the Spanish outfit last term, helping the club achieve a top-four finish and a sixth Europa League triumph with 45 appearances in all competitions.
However, speculation has been rife regarding the Brazilian’s future following his sensational campaign with Los Nervionenses, with several elite European clubs linked with a swoop for the centre-back in recent weeks.
According to Marca, Manchester United and Liverpool have identified Carlos as a potential summer signing and are firmly in the race to secure his signature.
The report adds that Sevilla may sanction a sale in the wake of the financial crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Brazil international possesses a €75m release clause in his deal, which is valid until 2024.
