AC Milan set to pip Manchester United to the signing of Moises Caicedo?

AC Milan are reportedly keen to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo.

The 19-year-old is rumoured to have been closely monitored by the Premier League giants in recent weeks.

The Red Devils are said to have even reached an agreement with Independiente over the signing of the youngster, but a work permit has not yet been granted and there are uncertainty over whether the deal will materialise.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, however, the Serie A leaders could be about to grab the opportunity of the uncertainty by making an approach of their own.

The report adds that AC Milan and Man United are not alone in showing an interest in the teenager, with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig also in the race.

Caicedo has contributed six goals and two assists in 31 appearances for the Ecuadorian outfit.
