West Ham United intersted in Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde

West Ham United have reportedly identified Montpellier’s Gaetan Laborde as a potential January signing.

The Hammers need a replacement for Sebastian Haller, who was sold to the Dutch outfit Ajax for around £20m earlier this month.

A number of options have emerged, such as Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, but The Telegraph reports that Montpellier’s Laborde is the player currently being considered by the East London outfit.

The 26-year-old has scored six times in 20 top-flight outings this term and is said to be available in the region of £16m, putting him well in United’ price range.

Should the Hammers miss out on the Frenchman, it is suggested that they may instead look at Reims’ Boulaye Dia or Blackburn Rovers winger Adam Armstrong.
