Man United weigh up move for Ilaix Moriba
Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Barcelona wonderkid Ilaix Moriba, according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by The Mail.
The Red Devils are interested in a potential swoop to sign the 18-year-old midfielder if the teenager decides to leave Camp Nou this summer.
Moriba’s current deal at Barca is set to expire in 18 months.
He has a contract clause in the region of £86m which would presumably be a stumbling block for interested suitors.
The report goes on to claim that United are facing competition from the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig for Moriba’s signature.
Chelsea have also entered the race to sign the prospect.
The Spain Under-17 international has scored once in seven appearances in all competitions for Barcelona senior team this term.
