Report – Andreas Christensen close to signing new Chelsea deal
Andreas Christensen is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Chelsea, according to a report.
The Denmark international has been provided with a new lease of life following the appointment of new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Christensen, 24, who has been deputising for Thiago Silva, has helped Chelsea keep clean sheets against Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks.
According to The Telegraph, The Blues are hoping that the centre-back is happy to sign new terms at Stamford Bridge.
Christensen currently has less than 18 months left to run on his current contract, leading to a number of clubs across Europe starting to monitor the situation.
