Arsenal step up Emiliano Buendia pursuit

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia.

The 24-year-old attacker has played a starring role in the Canaries securing an immediate return to the Premier League, contributing 15 goals and 17 assists in 39 Championship matches.

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Argentine during the winter transfer window, but he ultimately remained at Carrow Road to help Daniel Farke’s side back into England’s top flight.

According to Goal, Arsenal remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Buendia as they look for alternatives to Martin Odegaard, who is likely to join Real Madrid this summer.

Norwich City are thought to value Buendia somewhere in the region of £40m, with the South American still having more than three years left to run on his contract.
