Newcastle United eye loan deal for Oliver Skipp
Newcastle United have emerged as rumoured suitors for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp.
The 20-year-old has made a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer following a loan spell at Norwich City, clocking up 47 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
A recent report suggested that a number of English clubs were keen to sign the youngster on a short-term basis this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle head coach Steve Bruce is a huge admirer of the central midfielder and wants to sign him on loan for the 2021-22 season.
The report adds that Spurs are still considering keeping hold of Skipp for the upcoming season, though, and will not make a firm decision on his future until the last stages of the window.
Skipp racked up 23 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions and was handed a new four-year contract last summer.
