Liverpool frontrunners to sign Jude Bellingham

Liverpool have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

The 18-year-old attacker joined BVB from Birmingham City last summer and has been impressive for the Bundesliga giants.

The England international has a deal at Dortmund until the summer of 2025, but a number of elite Premier League clubs are thought to be keen to bring him back to his homeland.

According to The Mirror, the Reds are currently leading the race to sign the teenager and are aiming to take advantage of their rivals’ battle for Erling Braut Haaland.

The report adds that it may take up to £90m to prise Bellingham away from Westfalenstadion, but manager Jurgen Klopp is not put off by BVB’s asking price.

Bellingham has scored three goals and registered eight assists from 21 games in all competitions this term.
