Chelsea consider Achraf Hakimi swoop
Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea.
The Blues were keen on signing the 23-year-old defender last summer before he decided to move to Parc des Princes.
However, despite making 41 appearances during 2021-22, it has been reported that Hakimi is unhappy with his life in the French capital.
According to The Athletic, the Premier League giants could be prepared to bring in the Morocco international as a replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta, who is likely to depart Stamford Bridge.
If the deal goes through, Hakimi would represent world-class cover and competition, should Chelsea’s Reece James would likely lose his spot as first-choice under Thomas Tuchel.
The west London outfit are unlikely to meet the €71m figure, which includes add-ons, that the Parisians shelled out less than a year ago.
