Arsenal reignite interest in Leeds United’s Raphinha
Arsenal have reportedly accelerated their pursuit of Leeds United attacker Raphinha as they attempt to secure his signature in the current market.
The 25-year-old is likely to make a move away from Elland Road this term after scoring 11 Premier League goals that helped the Yorkshire giants stave off relegation to the Championship on the final day of the season.
The Gunners are said to be at the head of the queue to sign the Brazilian, who was heavily linked with a move to join Barcelona.
However, the Whites are refusing to budge on their £65m asking price, and Barca’s long-running financial difficulties have seen them lose race for the winger.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the North Londoners have prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Raphinha, who has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road.
