Tottenham Hotspur step up interest in Djed Spence
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their efforts to secure a deal for Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence this summer, according to a report.
Tottenham Hotspur and several other clubs have been keeping close tabs on Spence’s progress after he helped Steve Cooper’s side secure promotion to the Premier League with his performances.
His outstanding performances have understandably attracted interest from other top European clubs such as Brentford, Arsenal and even Bayern Munich.
According to The Express, Spurs have resurrected their interest in the full-back as they look to secure a £15m deal in the coming weeks, although Forest are also lining up a permanent move as they prepare for the top flight next season.
The 21-year-old defender has enjoyed a successful loan spell with Nottingham Forest in the 2021-22 season, having made 42 appearances in the Championship, while also banking two goals throughout the campaign during his loan period.
