Chelsea keeping tabs on Nelson Semedo?
Chelsea have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo in the January transfer window.
The Blues are likely to target the right-back area and further competition for Reece James in the future.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea’s hierarchy have included Semedo on a list of potential options in the transfer market ahead of 2023.
Semedo, 28, is currently in his third campaign with the Wolves, where he racked up 69 starts and six substitute appearances.
Speaking to Givemesport, the Portugal international said: “Chelsea also like Nelson Semedo from Wolves and are considering him as an option to come in to give competition for Reece James.”
As it stands, Semedo is under contract with Wolves at the end of the season, although the west Midlands outfit have the option to extend that deal until 2025.
