Chelsea closing in on signing Benoit Badiashile?
Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile.
Last week, it was reported that the Blues were attempting to bolster their defence by pushing through a deal for the Frenchman.
In a further update from Fabrizio Romano, the West Londoners are now in advanced talks with AS Monaco to sign the 21-year-old defender.
Chelsea are said to be willing to pay somewhere in the region of €35m for the centre-back, who is largely regarded as one of the best defensive prospects in Ligue 1.
Badiashile has made 16 appearances for Monaco in all competitions during 2022-23. However, Les Monegasques are at a point where they must consider selling the full-back rather than losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Chelsea are also on the verge of signing Vasco da Gama’s Andrey Santos and Molde striker David Datro Fofana.
