Man City weighing up surprise move for Kieran Tierney
In a stunning revelation, Manchester City have emerged as a potential suitor for Arsenal’s esteemed defender Kieran Tierney this summer.
Manchester City currently boasts Joao Cancelo and Nathan Ake as their primary left-back options, but the former was loaned out to Bayern Munich earlier this year.
Although Cancelo is expected to return to Etihad, speculation has arisen that he may be seeking a new challenge, thus compelling the club to scour the market for another left-back.
According to reports, Manchester City are contemplating a surprise move for Tierney, who slipped down the Gunners’ pecking order.
The Scotland international has only started this season when Oleksandr Zinchenko has been sidelined. As a result, the prospect of exiting North London this summer may be too tempting to resist, particularly if a more lucrative proposition comes along.
While Newcastle United have expressed an interest in Tierney, a move to Manchester City would prove to be a more appealing destination for him.
It has been suggested that Arsenal would seek a transfer fee of around £30 million to part ways with the defender.
If Tierney does depart, it is believed that Nuno Tavares, who is currently away on loan, could step into the fray for the Gunners.
