AS Monaco set to Renew Pursuit of Fulham Star Tosin Adarabioyo in January
AS Monaco are set to renew their pursuit of Fulham’s 25-year-old star Tosin Adarabioyo in the upcoming January transfer window.
Despite failing to secure a deal during the previous transfer window, Monaco remains eager to bolster their defence with the talented centre-back.
Monaco made a €12 million offer with €3 million in add-ons for Adarabioyo during the summer, but Fulham couldn’t find a suitable replacement in time, causing the deal to collapse.
The situation was similar for Joao Palhinha, whose move to Bayern Munich also fell through due to Fulham’s inability to secure a replacement.
Adarabioyo’s contract expires in 2024, and he has no intentions of extending it. Fulham, reluctant to lose him for free, and they are open to negotiations. Monaco, having come close to signing him in the summer, are expected to make another push in the winter transfer window.
Adarabioyo, a product of Manchester City’s youth system, found regular playing time at Fulham since his arrival in October 2020, featuring in over 100 matches. However, recent developments have led to his desire to leave the English club. Monaco aims to capitalise on this opportunity to secure his services in January.
