Newcastle United ponder summer move for Jarrod Bowen

Newcastle United’s ambition to bolster their squad is clear, and their latest target is West Ham United talisman Jarrod Bowen.

The 27-year-old winger, who has flourished since joining the Hammers from Hull City in 2020, is reportedly on the Magpies’ radar as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

Bowen’s rise in the Premier League has been nothing short of spectacular. His 2023/24 season saw him notch 20 goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances, cementing his status as one of the league’s standout performers. This consistency has not gone unnoticed, and Newcastle, among others, are keen to secure his services.

Newcastle’s need for offensive reinforcement is driven by several factors. Callum Wilson’s future remains uncertain, and the fitness woes of recent signing Harvey Barnes only add to their concerns. The departure of Miguel Almiron seems imminent, making Bowen an attractive option. Alongside Bowen, Newcastle are also eyeing Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Olise, aiming for a comprehensive overhaul to regain a competitive edge.

However, prising Bowen away from West Ham will be challenging. His importance to the East London club means any potential move will require significant negotiation.
