West Ham United confirm Jarrod Bowen signing in £22m deal
West Ham United have completed a shock deadline day swoop for Jarrod Bowen from Hull City in a deal reported to be worth up to £22m.
The 23-year-old arrived at the Hammers’ training ground to undergo a medical on deadline day, but talks stalled over personal terms between the two parties.
The Englishman was thought to be demanding £60,000-a-week wages, which the east Londoners were happy to agree should they suffer relegation this season.
However, West Ham have now agreed terms on a move with an initial fee of £14m plus up to £8m in add-ons.
The winger becomes David Moyes’ third signing of the month after the arrivals of Darren Randolph and Tomas Soucek.
We are delighted to confirm the signing of highly-rated forward Jarrod Bowen from Hull City on a five-and-a-half-year contract.
