Premier League to return on June 17

The Premier League will return on 17 June after all the havoc wrecked by the coronavirus pandemic.

The first games to be played upon the resumption will see Aston Villa vs Sheffield United at Villa Park, while Manchester City to host Arsenal at Etihad Stadium.

No matches have been played since 9 March.

The Premier League will become the second of Europe’s top 5 leagues to return after the Bundesliga. The remaining 92 matches will be scheduled to play within a frenetic six-week period.

The Premier League leaders Liverpool are all set for their first league title in 30 years, with a 25-point lead at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, the La Liga is set to return on June 11, Serie on June 20, Bundesliga already returned and the Ligue 1 is cancelled
