Juventus set to beat Barcelona to Memphis Depay’s signature?
Juventus reportedly set to pip Barcelona to the signature of Lyon forward Memphis Depay.
Barca head coach Ronald Koeman, who worked with Depay during his time in charge of the Netherlands national team, had identified the Dutchman as a key transfer target last summer but were unable to get a deal over the line.
Depay is contracted to the Groupama Stadium until June 2021 and the Daily Mail reports that the 26-year-old forward could be available for as little as £4.5m when the winter transfer window opens next month.
Juventus are also monitoring Napoli star Arkadiusz Milik, who has a contract at Naples until June 30, 2021.
Depay has recently stated that he is committed to Les Gones. However, the French outfit, who find themselves in a very difficult financial position and could cash in on him next month to balance their books.
