Chelsea consider summer move for Danny Ings

Chelsea could reportedly outline their intentions to move for Southampton striker Danny Ings if they are unable to land any of their targets.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are keen on signing a new world-class striker, and they have been linked with Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea have a contingency plan in place in case they can’t land their targets and have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Southampton forward Danny Ings, who scored 46 goals and registered 10 assists from 100 appearances for the Saints.

With just 12 months left to run on his contract, Southampton could be prepared to sell him for around £20m in this summer’s transfer window.
