Chelsea move closer to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Chelsea are moving closer to sealing a deal for Barcelona attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the two clubs returned to advanced talks, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Blues have made a poor start to their 2022-23 Premier League campaign, earning just four points from three matches.
The West Londoners have lacked the cutting edge in the final third, but this could soon be fixed by the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona.
The 33-year-old joined Barca from Arsenal in February this year, but the striker is now set for a swift return to Premier League.
The Blaugrana were eyeing £30m for the Gabonese services, but have now agreed to sell for £19m plus £3.5m add-ons.
Aubameyang scored nearly 100 goals for the Gunners, and he could be a quality short-term signing for Chelsea.
The Gabon international is set to become Chelsea’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
