Spurs plot £38m bid for 27-year-old Serbian

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in making a £38m offer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Manchester United believed to be considering a move for the 27-year-old attacker before the end of the summer transfer window.

According to Calciomercato via The Mirror, Spurs are also huge admirers of the Serbia international, and the North Londoners are currently lining up a bid for his services.

The report adds that Tottenham are willing to offer £38m, with the deal potentially rising to £50.7m.

Milinkovic-Savic has once again been one of Lazio’s standout performers in an impressive season, contributing 11 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions last term.

He also impressed in his side’s 2022-23 Serie A opening match against Bologna on Sunday in a 2-1 win.

Milinkovic-Savic only has two years left on his contract, though, and the midfielder is believed to be available for the right price.

The Serbian has scored 58 goals and registered 51 assists in 294 occasions for Lazio since joining the Italian outfit from Genk in August 2015.
