Report – Eduardo Camavinga on Man United radar?
Manchester United have reportedly identified Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga as a possible candidate to replace Paul Pogba, who is close to joining Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old Pogba reignited speculation over his transfer saga last week by admitting that his “dream” to play for Los Blancos, who have long been consistently linked with his signature.
Pogba’s current contract expires in June 2021, although the Red Devils do have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months, which they are likely to trigger.
However, according to the Spanish outlet AS via Mail, Man United could still look to offload the Frenchman in 2021, with the Italian champions Juventus also interested in the 2018 World Cup winner.
The report adds that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Camavinga, who is also wanted by Real Madrid, as a replacement if Pogba leaves the Old Trafford.
Camavinga has established himself as a first-team regular for the Ligue 1 outfit at the age of just 16 last season.
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the Frenchman.
