Chelsea interested in signing Mohamed Simakan
Chelsea have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Strasbourg centre-back Mohamed Simakan in January.
The 20-year-old defender has not missed a single Ligue 1 match for the Ligue 1 outfit during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring once and providing one assist in 17 appearances.
The Frenchman has a contract with Les coureurs until June 2023, but according to Le 10 Sport, the centre-back could be on the move during the mid-season transfer window.
The report adds that Chelsea want to bring Simakan to Stamford Bridge, although the Blues could face intense competition from Serie A giants AC Milan.
The centre-back is believed to be valued somewhere in the region of £13.5m.
Chelsea have also allegedly joined the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
