Barcelona want £35m-rated Max Aarons

Barcelona have reportedly accelerated their pursuit of Max Aarons as they attempt to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.

A proposed move to Camp Nou for the 21-year-old defender last summer fell through, and he remained loyal to Norwich City despite their relegation from the Premier League.

The full-back has chipped in with one goal and three assists in 32 Championship matches this term, but it remains to be seen if the youngster will stay on at Carrow Road even if the Canaries do make an immediate return to the English football.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are both said to be monitoring the situation ahead of a possible bid during the summer, but according to the Daily Mail, the Catalan giants Barcelona are still keen on the Englishman.

The report goes on to claim that Norwich would be likely to accept a sum in excess of £30m for Aarons.

Everton and AS Roma are also thought to be weighing up moves for the in-demand defender.
