Report – Manchester United want Declan Rice
Manchester United are lining up a swoop for West Ham United defensive midfielder Declan Rice.
The England international has been in impressive form for the Hammers this term, contributing two goals and one assist in 35 appearances in all competitions.
The East London outfit are determined to keep hold of the 22-year-old and would not even consider offers of under £100m in the upcoming transfer window.
However, according to the Evening Standard, the Red Devils are lining up a bid for the Englishman, with the 20-time English champions keen to sign a defensive midfielder during this summer’s transfer window.
The report adds that the Mancunian giants will ‘try their luck’ when it comes to a move, although it remains to be seen whether the Hammers even entertain discussions with the Premier League rivals.
Meanwhile, Manchester City and Chelsea have also expressed an interest.
