Real Madrid ‘want Eden Hazard to replace Cristiano Ronaldo’

Real Madrid have allegedly identified Chelsea star Eden Hazard as the man to replace the outgoing Cristiano Ronaldo next season.

The Portugal international is said to be on the verge of joining Juventus and the Blues forward tops Los Blancos’ list of potential successors, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The report suggests that Hazard is not the only big-name Ronaldo replacement Real are considering, with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi and Bayern Munich centre-forward Roberto Lewandowski also said to be on their radar.

Juve will reportedly pay £88m for Ronaldo’s services when the deal goes through, with Real making a profit on the £80m that they paid Manchester United for the player in 2009.

United are said to have made enquiries about re-signing Ronaldo, only to be told that the Juve deal is in motion.
