Leicester City’s Harry Maguire on verge of signing a new deal

Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire is reportedly on the brink of agreeing a new-and-improved long-term deal at the King Power Stadium.

City see the 25-year-old as a central figure in Claude Puel’s side and want to reflect his status with fresh terms which, according to The Sun, will see his wages climb from £45,000 a week to £75,000.

Maguire, who is already under contract with the Foxes until 2022, is said to at an advanced stages in negotiations with Leicester chiefs.

United were rumoured to be willing to pay £65m to sign the former Sheffield United defender, only for Puel’s men to rebuff their approach.
