Eden Hazard to join Madrid after Europa League final?

Real Madrid will reportedly formally announce the signing of Eden Hazard the day after Chelsea’s final game of the season.

The Belgian forward offered another hint at the weekend that this will be his final campaign at Stamford Bridge.

Following much speculation regarding the 28-year-old’s future, French outlet L’Equipe suggests that the long-running transfer saga is close to ending as an £86m agreement is already in place.

Hazard’s “dream” transfer will be made public on May 30, it is claimed, the day after Chelsea take on Arsenal in the Europa League final.

During his seven-season spell in West London, Hazard has made 351 appearances for the Blues and has won five major honours, including the Premier League in 2015 and 2017.

Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho is rumoured to have been lined up by Chelsea as a possible replacement, while Christian Pulisic will also join from Borussia Dortmund.
