Napoli keen on signing Emerson Palmieri – report
Napoli have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Chelsea outcast Emerson Palmieri.
Having fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge last season, it becomes harder for the 26-year-old defender to come into Frank Lampard’s starting place.
The left-back was strongly linked with a return to Italy throughout the summer, but he ultimately remained at West London, where he has not played a single minute of the game this term.
However, the Italian outlet Repubblica via The Sun suggesting that Partenopei have earmarked the former Roma man as an ideal signing in their bid to strengthen the defence.
The Italy international has made two appearances for Chelsea in both the EFL Cup and Champions League this season, and the left-back has hinted that he could end his stay at London club in January.
Palmieri will see his contract at Chelsea expire in 2022.
