Liverpool step up Barcelona’s Gavi pursuit
Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Gavi this summer.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season with the Blaugrana, scoring five in 26 La Liga appearances so far.
The teenager is under contract with the Catalan giants until 2023.
According to SPORT, the Reds have intensified their interest in the starlet as they have sounded him out in a bid to try and secure his signature in the upcoming transfer window.
However, Liverpool are not the only club that want to buy him, as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in the teenager as well.
Gave has a release clause of £50m in his current deal, which the La Liga giants hope to increase significantly if he extends his contract.
