Arsenal close in on signing Youri Tielemans
Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in a £40m deal, according to The Sun.
The Gunners are hoping to strengthen midfield options with the addition of the Belgium star in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The north London side’s chances of landing the Belgian rest on their ability to qualify for the Champions League.
The Sun goes on to claim that the Arsenal believe Tielemans would add more quality to their squad. Although, the Foxes don’t anticipate being able to keep him seeing as the midfielder has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United over the past couple of seasons.
The 25-year-old has contributed six goals and three assists in 28 Premier League matches this term, while he featured 13 times in the Europa League and Europa Conference League.
Tielemans has a contract at King Power Stadium until June 2023.
