Tottenham Hotspur interested in Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to lock horns with Newcastle United over the signature of Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
The 24-year-old attacker impressed for Les Gones during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing 11 goals and seven assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
The Brazil international has since been linked with a move away from the Groupama Stadium, with the Magpies allegedly lining up a £50m bid for the playmaker.
However, football.london, via Chronicle Live, claims that Tottenham Hotspur have been closely monitoring the Brazilian and they will consider making an offer this summer.
The report goes on to claim that Paqueta is open to leaving the Ligue 1 outfit but the club still value him at around £68m.
Paqueta still has three years left to run on his contract at the Groupama Stadium.
