Manchester United set their sights on Tammy Abraham

Manchester United are reportedly keen to bring Roma centre-forward Tammy Abraham to Old Trafford during next summer’s transfer window.

The 25-year-old forward joined the Italian giants from Chelsea in August 2021, and has since gone on to contribute 29 goals and eight assists in 65 appearances.

Meanwhile, the frontman has scored two goals and registered two assists in 12 outings for Giallorossi this term.

The England international has another four years left on his contract in Rome, but his future is now being called into question, with a number of clubs credited with an interest.

The Blues are said to have a buy-back clause of €80m for the Englishman, with the Premier League giants able to activate it next summer, but Arsenal are also credited with an interest.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, there is also a firm interest from Manchester United, with the Red Devils keen to explore the possibility of signing him ahead of the next season.

Abraham has scored 30 goals and registered 12 assists in 82 appearances for the west Londoners, but he left the club in search of regular action, with the Italian outfit providing him the opportunity to showcase his skills.

United are expected to spend big on a new striker next summer, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract due to expire at the end of the campaign.
