Report – Barcelona to sign Monaco’s Vanderson this summer
Barcelona have reportedly shown interest in Monaco right-back Vanderson, with a move in the summer potentially on the cards.
The 21-year-old defender has been regular in the Ligue 1 club’s lineup this season, having appeared in 22 league matches and providing three assists. He plays a crucial role in Monaco’s bid to secure a top-two spot in the league standings.
The Brazilian moved to Monaco from Gremio in late 2021 and has since played 52 times for Les Rouge et Blanc, contributing twice and helping his club secure a third-place finish in the previous season.
According to Sport, the Blaugrana have shown interest in signing Vanderson this summer, as the youngster continues to impress in Ligue 1 for Monaco.
The report further states that the Catalan giants have been following Vanderson’s progress throughout the season and believes that his style of play is in line with the ‘Barcelona way’.
Les Monegasques will return to the pitch against Strasbourg after the first international break of the calendar year, while Barca will travel to Elche with the aim of extending their 12-point lead at the top of the La Liga standings.
