Race for Mbappe: Man United, Chelsea, and Real Madrid compete for the Frenchman

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Real Madrid have expressed their interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, according to a report from MARCA via Sport Witness.

The Red Devils are prepared to make an offer for the 24-year-old attacker, who has been in the spotlight due to potential departures from PSG.

Real Madrid, in particular, are in need of attacking reinforcements after the departure of Karim Benzema, making Mbappe an attractive option for them. Mbappe’s goal-scoring prowess was evident last season, contributing an impressive 41 goals across all competitions.

Chelsea, too, are eyeing Mbappe to bolster their attacking unit, which struggled to score consistently in the previous season. The addition of the Frenchman could significantly elevate their performance in the final third.

For Manchester United, a quality forward is essential as they were overly reliant on Marcus Rashford during the last season. To challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal for the Premier League title, improving the squad is crucial. Mbappe’s arrival would undoubtedly enhance their capabilities and elevate them to compete at the highest level.

Manchester United’s financial capabilities and Champions League qualification could give them an edge in the race for Mbappe’s signature. The player’s contract with PSG is also set to expire, and he has refused to sign a new deal with the Parisians. As a result, the Ligue 1 giants have put him up for sale, leaving room for negotiations with interested parties.

While Chelsea’s chances of signing Mbappe this summer seem less likely without Champions League football, Manchester United and Real Madrid have a greater likelihood of securing the talented attacker.
