Chelsea identify Nicolas Tagliafico as Ben Chilwell replacement?
Chelsea have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico during the January transfer window.
The Blues will be without Ben Chilwell for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
At a time when Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has tried various alternatives in the wing-back role, the club have also attempted to recall Emerson Palmieri from Lyon.
According to TyC Sports, Chelsea are yet to dismiss the possibility of acquiring the services of Tagliafico before the end of the month.
While the report adds that the European champions are yet to make a formal bid, the 29-year-old looks like a realistic option with less than 18 months left on his contract.
The Dutch champions are said to be ready to entertain bids somewhere in the region of £6m with the Argentine no longer first choice at Ajax.
