Inter Milan ‘step up N’Golo Kante pursuit’

Inter Milan reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea this summer, according to a report.

The Serie A outfit were strongly linked with the Frenchman earlier in the window.

A move appeared to be off the cards when Chelsea boss Frank Lampard recently declared that he has no intention of selling the 29-year-old midfielder.

However, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Conte is still pushing Inter chiefs to test the Blues’ resolve by making a formal bid before the deadline day on October 5.

The report adds that the longer the Nerazzurri hold off from making an offer, the less likely they are to land the France international as the west Londoners will be unable to bring in a replacement.

Kante has been with Chelsea for four years now, having joined the club from Leicester in 2016.
