Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is mulling over a summer move for Borussia Monchengladbach defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria.
Given the financial concerns arising from the coronavirus pandemic, the Premier League champions are reluctant to spend big during the current transfer window. However, the Reds may be in a position to spend the cash in 2021.
According to Bild via Daily Mail, Klopp ramped up his interest in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria, who are said to value in the region of £37m.
Although the German outfit are against a sale in the coming weeks, they are prepared to cash in on one of their key players ahead of the next campaign.
The Swiss international, who racked up 96 appearances for Monchengladbach, is contracted to the five times German domestic title winners until 2022.
